It is important to us that our business is environmentally responsible, as well as socially responsible. We try our best to minimise the impact of our business on the environment in all respects (see OC Green for more information). To this end, we strive to keep packaging to a minimum, most of which is recycled, all of which is recyclable.

Some plastic packaging may be used to ensure weather-proofing, so that your purchases reach you in excellent condition. We are actively exploring ways to remove the need for plastics altogether; however, the plastic wrapper is recyclable and we would ask you to help us in our efforts by recycling all packaging.

Return-a-Box scheme

Your purchases will arrive in a cardboard box, which will be wrapped in recycled paper for the purposes of this scheme. You are obviously welcome to keep or dispose of the box yourself (preferably by recycling). However, we would love you to use our Return-a-Box scheme and, in just six small and simple steps, you can do your bit for the environment as well as earning a discount on your next order!

The box should reach you in good condition; if so:

1.Carefully unwrap the paper surrounding the box
2.Remove and admire your purchases!
3.Reverse the paper
4.Re-wrap the empty box
5.Write our address and your customer number clearly on the paper
6.Post it back to us for a £2.00 discount on your next order

We think that you can't get much simpler than that! You can be confident that we will securely dispose of paper that still has your address on it and will recycle the rest. The box will obviously be used again (and, we hope, again and again!).
